The upper clasp on the GSM attached by the customary silver rod - as issued. Note surname on LS&GC is shown wrongly as 'Barker' (sic) exactly as issued, and never subsequently returned for correction

Post-war, both 1st and 3rd Battalions of the Coldstream Guards served in the Palestine Mandate with 1st Guards Brigade 

Medals & Clasps Verification: Medal rolls for post 1947 campaign and long service are not currently accessible in the public domain. However, both medals and clasps are confirmed as entitled per the cited sources below:

Harry Kenneth Barber was born in Albany Barracks, Isle of Wight, Hampshire, England, 31 December 1928. He was the son of a serving soldier in the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Regiment, and attested initially for the Coldstream Guards. He transferred to the Royal Army Pay Corps, 26 May 1949, and was advanced Staff Quartermaster Sergeant, 5 October 1963. He was awarded his Long Service and Good Conduct Medal per Army Order 66 of 1965, ands was promoted to his ultimate rank of Staff Sergeant Major on 1 April 1968. He was discharged on 30 December 1968, and died in Portsmouth, England, 15 September 1997
