The 4th grade awards, in 'White Metal' were awarded to junior commissioned officers ranks, i.e., Lieutenants, Captains and their equivalent
All British Armed Forces personnel present in theatre during the Gulf War 1991, were entitled to accept and receive this Kuwaiti award, that comprised five classes - the two highest classes being neck worn insignia. However no 'official approval' to wear the award or medal riband in British Armed Forces service uniform was ever subsequently granted
