11th Gorkha Rifles: The 11 Gorkha Rifles was re-raised on 1 January 1948. The regiment consists of primarily the Kirant Tribes Rai, Limbu, Yakkha, & Sunwar of Eastern Nepal, Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Dooars of West Bengal, Sikkim and other parts of Northeast India. The regiment, comprised of 7 x battalions has its regimental centre located at Lucknow Cantonment, Uttar Pradesh
